Our take
Home services such as landscaping and leaky pipe fixing are one of the largest categories of household spend, and yet there has been precious little innovation in the space. Humming Homes is changing that with their subscription-based home-management service.
By providing a dedicated in-person home management team, Humming Homes is providing a quality service that takes away the stress of moving from managed rented accommodation for a new generation of first-time home owners.
The company is currently focused on refining the product with “mass-affluent” households whose home values exceed $750,000 and will soon focus on expanding into new markets.
The startup’s hassle-free, quality service has found users amongst America’s suburban elite. However, to achieve serious scale, Humming Homes will have to convince more frugal homeowners that maintenance isn’t just a series of incremental, reactionary solutions and is worthy of their subscription.
