To solve technology addiction by bringing people together in real life.
The popularity of groups in social networking is growing, as people are communicating less in public feeds and moving to private chats.
IRL, short for “In Real Life,” is a group messaging app that allows users to share their calendars and upcoming events. It's geared towards the younger generation that doesn’t use Facebook. As its name suggests, the app focuses on connecting people not just online but at real-world events.
The challenge for IRL is that its current user base still pales in comparison to the major social networks with mass adoption. At the moment its concentrating on growth with its goal to become the “WeChat of the West” and distinguish itself through its focus on combining events with messaging.
