Our take
Gas has long since been the fuel behind household kitchens, but the carbon footprint of gas stoves is leading people to use more modern electric induction stove alternatives. However, such stoves often compromise on performance by taking too long to heat up and being unusable in the event of a power outage.
Impulse develops high-performance induction stoves for home kitchens, which are capable of boiling water in under a minute and having a backup battery in the event of a power outage. The product comes ready to install along with a sleek visual UI, offering users information regarding cooking durations, temperatures and modes.
Whilst induction stoves are nothing new, Impulse has been smart to directly tackle the limitations that existing products have such as slow heat-up times and a lack of reliability. The company is backed by a team of engineer innovators and shows great potential to disrupt the induction stove market during a time when gas prices are rising faster than ever.
