Our take

Inspire is a clean energy company that believes energy should be renewable, impactful, predictable, and consumer-first. They offer customers the opportunity to switch to their clean energy plan and pay a flat monthly fee for an electricity supply with no usage restrictions.

Not simply a renewable energy business, Inspire considers itself a movement, and utilizes smart technology to allow users to track their energy usage and understand their impact on the environment. What separates Inspire from its competitors is its flat monthly fee. This is appealing to homeowners and renters, as their bills will remain consistent in the winter and summer months, allowing them to budget more efficiently.

Entering the extremely established energy space, Inspire faced competition from energy company giants. An acquisition by Shell in 2021 enabled the company to scale its sustainable energy offerings for US households and increase the accessibility of its plans, granting it a foothold to play a major part in the clean energy transition moving forward.
