To deploy the preeminent insurtech and traveltech platform empowering remote workers, expats, location independent and adventure travelers to safely & intelligently live, work and play anywhere around the world.
In the US alone the number of digital nomads has more than doubled since 2020. Indeed, there are estimated to be close to 40 million digital nomads in the world today.
While it’s a career and lifestyle choice with plenty of benefits for those that can make it work, one pain point is health insurance, with most nomads having to settle for standard gravel insurance – an expensive long term investment.
Insure Nomads is attempting to offer more flexible and affordable global health and travel insurance. Beyond providing comprehensive medical and personal belongings coverage even outside of a designated area of cover, the Insurtech also offers digital counseling, telemedicine, and even an SOS button in case of emergencies like political unrest or natural disasters.
Founded in late 2019, Insured Nomad’s has grown quickly without seeking much Venture Capital backing – an impressive feat. Moving forward, the company seems intent on adding more features to its platform, something that it’s already done by acquiring travel shopping browser extension Peanut.
