Our take
Intersect is expanding access to clean electricity to help drive broad-based decarbonization. The company develops some of the world's largest clean energy resources and delivers these low-carbon solutions to customers around the globe.
Intersect is redefining what it means to be a clean power developer by constantly looking at new industries that it could vertically integrate into, to get closer to its goal of deep decarbonization. The company was born from innovation, conceived as an alternative to the traditional selling of electricity under long term PPA, which is demonstrative of the company’s determination to challenge the status quo and approach projects at scale without destroying value.
Excitingly, Intersect has partnered with Google and TPG Rise Climate (TPG) to drive the expansion of renewable power and storage solutions for data centers across the US. This collaboration is set to deliver gigawatts of new capacity and catalyze a $20B investment in renewable energy infrastructure by the decades end. With its first co-located clean energy project already in the works and expected to be operation by 2026, Intersect is very much paving the way for a sustainable future in the data center industry.
