Our take

Kahoot! is a global leader in education technology, known for turning learning into a game. Originally popular in classrooms, the platform now reaches over 200 million participants worldwide across schools, businesses, and even social settings - thanks to its vast library of interactive, gamified content.

After securing a strong presence in the US, including the acquisition of Cleer in 2021, Kahoot! has since focused on expanding across the Asia-Pacific region. In 2024, it launched a dedicated APAC team and began localising its platform for countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Japan, where more than a million teachers are using it.

Kahoot! is backed by major investors including Goldman Sachs Asset Management and the LEGO family's Kirbi. The company is investing in long-term growth, and recently announced a new leadership team that will head up its next phase focused on product innovation and market expansion.
