Company mission

To help freelancers save thousands of dollars on taxes.

Our take

For many gig workers, managing taxes can be an overwhelming task. Keeper Tax solves this problem by streamlining the tax process for freelance contractors.

Keeper is a Y Combinator backed company, which has allowed it to scale quickly and effectively. The company offers gig workers an easier way of paying their taxes and claiming tax write-offs and deductions, saving them both time and money. Unsurprisingly, this idea has proven popular, with Keeper raising over $15 million over three rounds as of 2021.

Keeper's main challenge will be competing with rival tax tech companies. However, with the prevalence of the gig economy, and of companies such as Uber and Deliveroo, still rising, Keeper stands to make significant gains in the coming years.
