To enable better products to be shipped through more consistent and realistic design.
The designing tooling space is going through a period of big disruption. Adobe is still at $246 Billion market cap company, but Figma is the next big thing in Silicon Valley with all the top tier VCs like Sequoia, A16Z, Founders Fund invested the company.
Design tools like Figma are now in the browser and with the cost of building software reducing, companies are increasingly focused on great product and design to win their markets. Developers have seen their tools upgraded dramatically in the last 10 years and there are a number of massive DevOps companies. DesignOps is about to see its moment in the sun, with A16Z referring to the 2020s as The Decade of Design.
Kernel is building technical tooling for designers. Their product allows designers to connect their Figma files to APIs and update with real content and live data.
With a focus on B2B, Kernel is well positioned to capitalise on the evolving DesignOps market. Currently rolling out early access to top product led companies, the team has experience in founding, designing and building products at some of the top companies in Europe.
