Making LGBTQI+ healthcare more functional, equitable and accessible
Our take
LVNDR is providing products and services in the rapidly growing but dramatically underserved market of sexual wellness for the LGBTQ+ community. The company claim 1 in 8 LGBTQ+ individuals avoid seeking healthcare for fear of discrimination, and so LVNDR are attempting to provide inclusive sexual heatlhcare.
US companies such as FOLX Health and Plume have previously partnered with top-tier venture funds to provide sexual health services aimed at this community. However, LVNDR is entering a much less developed space in Europe, which both presents new cultural challenges and a huge opportunity to dominate the space. The company prides itself on taking a community-focused approach to healthcare, and creating services that fit seamlessly into the existing sexual health landscape.
The company’s vision is very ambitious. For them to succeed, they will have to navigate a devishly complicated healthcare and regulatory landscape in the U.K. first.
