Company mission

Ladder's mission is to provide a community-based platform where the next generation of professionals can grow their careers together.

Our take

Founded in 2020, Ladder is a new entrant to the community platform space. The company is targeting up and coming professionals looking to benefit from community support, peer & mentor guidance, and platform-exclusive career opportunities. The network is currently open to US and Canadian college students.

It is an interesting market niche to focus on: with career guidance and internships stalling over the last few years, the market is now bouncing back, and US hiring rates are projected to be the highest since studies began in 1962. Helping students navigate this new and fertile terrain could see the company enjoy substantial uptake where traditional career support networks have fallen slack.

Ladder will need to remain competitive as more entrenched career networks grind back into action. As a business predicated on community, Ladder will also have to secure substantial sign-up to gather momentum. Ladder is still establishing itself in the market, and it will be interesting to watch the company's progress over the next few years.
