Sheet metalworking is an incredibly diverse industry and the goal is to make this diversity entirely accessible via their digital platform. Accordingly, Laserhub plans to reduce the effort and costs for all involved, accelerate processes, and increase the efficiency of an entire industry.
Manufacturing procurement is a massive market but a complicated one. Each manufacturing mode (laser cutting, CNC, injection molding, …) is a separate problem in terms of CAD extraction technology and go-to-market strategy.
Laserhub is building a B2B marketplace fit for the procurement managers and suppliers of today’s industry. Its focus is on distilling complexity into a smooth, well-priced customer experience. Customers upload their CAD file to Laserhub, Laserhub processes the data and gives the customer a price for their desired parts, the customer accepts and the order is distributed to a network of suppliers who then fulfil the order.
The startup began with a narrow focus on laser cutting, bending, deburring and coating for the sheet metal industry. Now it is looking to expand into new machining processes such as welding. In the future, companies will be able to buy not only individual parts, but also assemblies. Laserhub also plans to expand into other European markets.
The company’s success is built on its ability to deliver high quality materials in a timely manner. Its strategy of ensuring that it executes in each product vertical to the highest standard has meant it has won the trust of its customers who consequently keep their acquisition costs low. As long as Laserhub delivers this kind of value to both sides of the market, its ceiling will only grow higher.
