Our take
Lightyear operates a stock trading app that provides users with commission-free investment opportunities. It aims to reduce the barrier of entry to investing (users can invest from £1) and simplify the seemingly complicated nature of investing.
The company differentiates itself by making investing extremely easy. In only a couple of minutes, users create an investment account and start investing. Moreover, Lightyear aims to provide users with intuitive tools that allow them to make informed decisions.
Lightyear has attracted an impressive level of investment which has been used to fuel its expansion into European markets. It is further consolidating its success with a much-demanded web app, allowing its users to manage their portfolio at a desk rather than just on the small screen.
