B Corporation

Our take

Helping to lead the race against the global carbon and energy crisis, is the certified B-Corporation renewable energy investment and asset management company, Low Carbon. The company specialises in renewable energy investment, deploying capital at scale into renewable energy sources, operating across the full investment life-cycle: from concept to development, construction and operation.

The company’s growing portfolio includes a significant partnership with the US insurance giant, MassMutual, and it has secured substantial financing from leading UK and Ireland banks, NatWest, Lloyds Bank and AIB, supporting the construction of large-scale renewable energy projects (creating an anticipated 1GW of capacity) in the UK and the Netherlands.

Low Carbon’s strategic goals of rapidly deploying renewable energy at scale have it well positioned to lead the crucial slowing of climate change, as it has set its sights on creating 20 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. And with a pipeline of projects in place,. the company is moving full speed ahead towards achieving this target and making a significant impact on the global shift to clean energy.
