Company mission

To enable engineers to design and create physical products to assist in making our world safer, more productive and in many cases more fun.

Our take

Simulation is an important part of the design process, allowing engineers to test their physical products without the need for expensive prototypes. Luminary Cloud supplies an end-to-end platform to enhance this process, supporting the simulation workflow from pre-processing to analysis.

According to Luminary, many of the engineering simulators on the market struggle with speed and scalability, so this has been a key target area for its platform. Its cloud-based design allows it work much faster than its legacy counterparts, supporting completion of simulation and analysis cycles in "minutes rather than weeks".

Emerging from stealth in 2024, Luminary secured an impressive funding round that it will use to expand its business reach and development efforts. It already boasts clients such as Puma golf brand Cobra Golf and Joby Aviation, and it will be interesting to watch how the business grows down the line.
