Company mission

To fix liquidity in the creative economy and make agencies and production companies bankable.

Our take

In the media and entertainment industry, payments and financial transactions still often run through archaic infrastructure. Cloud-based spreadsheets and backends bogged down by manual work can slow production and complicate what could otherwise be simple and fast. MONET is a financial platform built for film and TV studios and production companies, designed to simplify and accelerate the FinOps side of the business.

MONET was built to meet the unique needs of the fast-paced, unpredictable world of media & entertainment, offering credit lines, film and TV production finance, and payment tools. It understands that balance sheets in the industry rarely fit ordinary lending models, and that mainstream banks fundamentally underserve and misunderstand these companies. Recognising the growth-to-financial-services deficit in the industry, and that only 7% of creative businesses secure traditional funding from banks, MONET is stepping in to fill the gap.

It’s already trusted by the likes of ITV, Netflix and Hugo Boss, and is founded by and employs leading executives from Starling Bank, Goldman Sachs and Monzo. MONET is using funding raised in 2025 to improve its lending facilities and accelerate creative business FinOps at even faster rates.
