To transform the future of mobile networks.
Legacy companies in the telecoms space usually purchase and deploy telecom routers to widen the connectivity of an area. However, cloud computing is set to change all that, providing a more cost-effective strategy for widening telecom network connectivity. Mavenir focuses on Open Radio Access Networks - mainly used for 5G - and uses a cloud-native approach to creating telecoms software.
Founded in 2005 and acquired by legacy Canadian telecoms company Mitel in 2015, Mavenir is using AI tools to improve its services for what is already an impressive customer base of 250 service providers across 120 countries. This comes to more than half the world’s mobile subscribers, indicating that Mavenir’s melding of cloud, IT, and hyperscale practices is a winning formula.
With $100 million in growth equity awarded in 2023, Mavenir will continue to develop products for its expanding customer base. Also, as 5G telecoms grows in its worldwide coverage, the opportunity for Mavenir's software solutions to grow should only continue to rise.
