Metis Labs' mission is to provide real-time monitoring and predictive analysis of the manufacturing process to improve performance, productivity, energy efficiency and sustainability.

Our take

Metis Labs leverages AI to build technology that optimises the manufacturing of products that millions of households use every day. With a mission to help factories cut industrial waste and improve their energy efficiencies, Metis reduces reliance on human judgement and experience, which can result in product quality defects, low productivity, and unnecessary CO2 emissions.

Behind the scenes, Metis uses AI-enabled technology to encode human judgement into software – improving the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing processes. Their product includes self-service vision systems, real-time analytics platform, and closed-loop intelligent process control.

Co-founders Alex and Bashir graduated from the prestigious Entrepreneur First incubator in 2018, where they worked with one of the largest beverage manufacturers in the world to develop Metis. With two decades of experience in manufacturing and technology between them, the founders are well poised to solve this industry's legacy issues and achieve their ultimate goal of building the factory of the future.
