Company mission

To make sharing work for everyone, because we believe sharing – spaces, stories, mutual understanding and respect – is what makes us human.

Our take

With the increase in popularity of short-term rentals, the line between privacy of renters and security for owners has become an increasingly pressing problem. Nobody wants to take a holiday and face cameras and security that undermine trust, but owners want to be able to monitor their properties.

Minut remedies this problem through its IoT hardware. Its sensor monitors noise, occupancy, motion and even temperature, without requiring invasive cameras or recording devices. Pitching itself as a co-host for property owners, the small device analyses and delivers near-real-time information, sending alerts if the space is over-occupied or being mistreated.

It’s a savvy solution for a world where privacy is a hot topic. Investors think so too, with the company raising funding in both 2022 and 2023. Minut is using this investment to expand its presence globally and integrate new solutions through partnerships within the hospitality sector.

Benefits

  • 🎟️ New ground - The room to grow as an individual at Minut is immense. Part of a small team breaking new ground, you’ll get to take on new tasks and responsibilities that you likely wouldn’t be able to do elsewhere
  • 📩 Ownership - Ownership originates with responsibility, but at Minut we also translate it into financial ownership. All full-time employees are offered a generous stock options package
  • 🏖️ Company offsites - We all go on an offsite (company retreat) once a year. It's a time for socializing and working together under the same roof - always at a nice location and with great food
  • 🎽 Health and wellbeing - Generous wellness grant to encourage physical activity outside the day-to-day life in front of our computers
  • 🎙️Engineering offsites - Two-day hackathons where engineers let the creativity flow and build whatever they feel like
  • 🥯 Office "fika" - Great coffee (every day) and breakfasts (hosted regularly) at one of Minut's offices
  • 🚶🏽Flexibility - Work from where you feel most comfortable. Some enjoy working from an office (got you covered) and some prefer working from home (got you covered too). You choose
  • 💻 Tools - We provide all employees with modern equipment suited to their needs and responsibilities. We also offer a grant for fully remote staff to equip the home office and co-working space allowance for fully remote staff

Company values

  • Build with bravery - Joy, experimentation, and curiosity may not lead us down the straightest path, but they will take us the furthest. We’re using our excellence in engineering, design, marketing, user experience, and sales to take on the challenges that no one else pursues
  • Put people first - We cultivate relationships and celebrate diversity, striving to bring different people together (whether we find them halfway around the world or next door). The Swedish custom of fika (a coffee break) sits at the core of Minut, facilitating opportunities to share, socialize and relax with colleagues. Many of the best ideas at Minut can be traced back to a fika
  • Care and keep it clear - Whether you need to pick up the kids or simply take care of that in-home delivery, the hours and location where you work can be flexible. It's a marathon, not a sprint. At Minut, openness, accessibility, and transparency come from a place of care. From clean code to accessible executive team meetings, we value care and clarity
