To improve the traveler experience through standardized, high-quality, comprehensive, discoverable, and up-to-date data.
MobilityData is a non-profit organization that is bringing together and supporting international mobility stakeholders by facilitating and creating opportunities for strengthened interoperability. This is a vital solution in order to advance the efficacy and adaptability of the rapidly changing mobility industry as a lack of data standards has resulted in varied forms of languages and tools, prohibiting truly reliable and intuitive travel directions.
By supporting public agencies, cities, and private companies throughout the standardized transformation process – with training, documentation, open-source software, online services, and more - MobilityData is able to accelerate the development and adoption of two international standards, GTFS (general transit) and GBFS (general bikeshare).
Currently, GFTS is used by over 10,000 transit operators in over 100 countries, with GBFS being used by over 30 operators in over 40 countries. The company is gaining international momentum and is well set to see continued growth.
