Mumsnet's mission is to make parents’ lives easier.
2% employee growth in 12 months
Founded in 2000, Mumsnet is the UK’s biggest network for parents, generating over 70 million page views and over 14 million visits per month. The website boasts over 120 million users, indicating its wider appeal outside of the UK. The sites appeal is best demonstrated during the run up to the 2010 general election, when UK government ministers Gordon Brown and David Cameron took part in live web-chats with Mumsnet users, indicating the influential power the community holds.
Mumsnet regularly campaigns on issues including support for families of children with special educational needs, improvements in postnatal and miscarriage care, and freedom of speech on the internet.
Mumsnet relies heavily on advertising and launched a subscription service following a few years of decline in ad revenue. The move to subscription indicates an exciting new direction for the company.
