Our take
Native Finance is working to digitally connect commercial developers with lenders in order to streamline the process of financing new property. Their platform allows borrowers (property investors and developers) to submit their financial requirements online, before Native Finance’s proprietary algorithm matches them with the lender (banks, specialist funds, family offices) most appropriate for their transaction. When a suitable match has been found, the deals are brokered in person by Native Finance’s specialist negotiators.
More than 480 lenders are available on Native's platform, who have collectively offered oans totalling over £1 billion since their launch in 2018. They are most active on deals between £5m-50m, but able to broker deals of any size.
The company has attracted an impressive set of investors, including Passion Capital, Lord Stevenson and Brooks Newmark. Eileen Burbidge, chair of Tech City and HM Treasury’s special envoy for fintech also sits on the board as a non-executive director.
