Although genetic testing is better and cheaper than ever before, it remains unemployed in general clinical practice. With Nest’s software, a patient’s genetic information is taken into account alongside other data from their electronic health report, to generate care plans based on guidelines from speciality societies such as the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. These plans tackle health concerns such as hereditary cancers, and cardiovascular genetics.

Nest Genomic’s platform is built for genetic counsellors as well as primary care physicians, and includes a patient companion tool to help people understand and follow their care plans. The company has seen good levels of investment, including from YCombinator, which will go towards further developing its Clinical Decision Support product for scaling genetics-based care.
