Nexar

The platform is used across hundreds of thousands of cars. The only company ahead of Nexar in terms of visual data acquired from dash cams around the world being Tesla, positioning the former as a leading source of insights for cities, transportation departments, and automotive and insurance firms, a service that can detect parking spots or assist city safety.

The start-up has not only received Series D funding, with which to develop its product, but has recently acquired intelligence networking provider, Veniam. Combining Nexar’s vision data with Veniam’s communications technology will increase the reach and decrease the costs of the company’s mapping of the physical world.
