Our take
In the UK, millions of people every year are denied credit due to poor or non-existent credit scores, with many excluded from modern necessities such as phone and sim contracts. Noggin HQ was founded to help combat this problem, by providing a way for those who have found themselves "locked out" to access these essential products.
The company's first product is a price comparison platform for phone and sim contracts, with over 9,000 deals available to browse. The aim is to offer no credit check options, as well as provide up-front information on any credit check barriers so people can be in-the-know before they apply.
Ultimately, Noggin HQ hopes to build a new credit score with lower barriers and higher transparency. With backing from Bethnal Green Ventures and Oxford Capital, and the supervision of the FCA Regulatory Sandbox programme, the company has begun its journey well and is one to watch as it develops into the future.
