To reshape the future of work by bringing a Nooka Space within walking distance to anyone that embraces the hybrid work style.
Our take
With the working landscape changing to be more flexible and remote-led, working from home – often far from the office – is becoming more and more normal. However, home office spaces are not always ideal for workers, who may want breaks from the distractions of the household, or simply a change of scenery. Nooka Space provides tech-enabled office spaces for workers to book and work remotely from, providing alternative spaces for remote workers so they can maximise productivity.
Founded in 2020, Nooka Space has ambitions to develop a global network of proximity office spaces, so that all remote workers have one within walking distance. Its pre-built spaces are designed to be plug-and-play style, so include Wi-Fi connection, a height-adjustable desk, ergonomic chair, and whiteboard, with models available that are suitable for one or two people. Booking is done via a mobile app that also controls entry to the space, as well as the heating and lighting.
In 2022, Nooka Space won the Startup World Cup Romania, showing that its products and mission are regarded as innovative and exciting. Its spaces have been launched not only as remote-work spaces, but also in Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport, demonstrating that they have a good potential range of uses.
