It makes a massive difference being surrounded by smart people all driven to use tech to disrupt the banking industry for the better and ultimately make the world a better place. Across the team, everyone is willing to get stuck in, help each other out and problem solve openly. As an early stage start-up in a competitive space we are super data driven and always looking to work collaboratively to try and find the right solutions to problems as they crop up.

The Novus mission of making money a force for good effects everyone - it's hard to go a day without making a purchase in some way shape or form. So by creating a totally new way of banking where every single purchase is helping to drive tangible positive change, the potential scale we can achieve to make the world a better place is really significant. It's truly awesome to be able to see the difference we are making together as a community by harnessing our collective purchasing power, all in real time within the app.

My manager is legitimately the best manager I've ever had in my 8 year career to date. Open to ideas, communicates clearly, is supportive in my career progression and genuinely cares about how to make our team the best it can be. She's calm in a crisis and an awesome role model for getting more women into fintech.

Working on a fintech app that is responsive, easy to use and constantly improving comes with great job satisfaction - in addition to that the positive impact the app makes in the world is the cherry on top. I feel lucky to work for a company that has great message and drive to have a positive impact on the world.

The development team at Novus are amazing. There is no ego among the developers, which is key to having a productive team especially when working remotely. So far I have already learned so much and gained invaluable experience across a wide range of technical challenges. The pace of development is fantastic, without sacrificing quality and despite the fast changing landscape of working on a new product/startup the team are handling it gracefully.

Being a startup the pace is quick and every developer must be on the ball. This has meant getting up to speed with all aspects of the code - this has been great for learning new technologies/skills. The team have been amazing at helping me understand the code-base to where I am comfortable with picking up/working on any aspect of the app. Every developer is equal and there are no silos of work which I love.
