Company mission

To maximise the value of forests to both humans and the global ecosystem.

Our take

Whilst geospatial visualisation software has become a key player in the climate tech race, other solutions that integrate data analysis technology into nature are often overlooked as tools for carbon capture and sustainability efforts. Ocell presents a savvy solution in its combination of a forest information app and data analysis and management platform.

With its target audience being forest management companies and businesses utilising green spaces, Ocell’s mapping, tracking, and aerial inventory and analysis app digitises processes through the use of AI. Digital twins of the forest help with visualisation of its growth and carbon capture, whilst the AI aspect helps to find the optimal strategies for forest maintenance and well-being.

With 200,000 hectares of forest under the eye of Ocell, 2023 seed funding will help the company expand its team and R&D cloud-based solutions. It’s also planning on launching CO2 certificates that will help measure the impact of its forests. With its smart melding of sustainability and profitability for its clients, Ocell is a solution that helps both agricultural businesses and CO2 storage efforts, making it highly attractive to investors.
