Our take

Octopus Deploy’s DevOps automation platform enables developers, release managers, and operations staff to bring all automation into a single place – something that software teams have long struggled to do.

Even though the company has served over 20,000 organisations including NASA, Microsoft, Disney, Xero and Stack Overflow, it’s flown under the radar in its decade of existence. This is in large part due to its organic growth and lack of major VC investment.

However that’s all changed dramatically as of 2021, as major funding from Insight Partners (Pluralsight, Shopify, Twitter, Calm), as well as the acquisition of software container company Dist, set Octopus Deploy on a high-growth trajectory. Now, with even more acquisitions and a series of new launches, the company is very much seeing the success of its hard work.
