Public transport is at the heart of every major city - it is cheaper, greener, and more available to the general public than most private transport alternatives. Yet public transport across the world suffers from major defects. It is often criticised for being unreliable and of poor quality, leading potential users to look elsewhere; often towards solutions which clog cities' transport systems even more.
This is a problem which Optibus wants to solve. Optibus is a cutting-edge software platform that brings much-needed innovation to public transport, leveraging a robust combination of artificial intelligence, advanced optimisation algorithms and distributed cloud computing to make public transit smarter, better and more efficient.
Since its founding in 2014, the company has seen rapid uptake - Optibus has been selected by the world’s leading transit providers in more than a 1000 cities around the world. With offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, London, and São Paulo, Optibus now has a truly global outreach.
After reaching unicorn status, the company is determined to buck all the stereotypes. Optibus is currently busy expanding globally and is growing very rapidly in America and Europe, including providing England with 60% and Scotland with 85% of public transports respectively.
