Our take

Netflix's development of Conductor, built to cope with the platform's high level of video traffic, has been hugely popular, incorporated by leading brands including Tesla, GitHub and Deutsche Telekom. The creators of Conductor have now launched Orkes, which offers a a cloud version of the tool.

The platform has full compatibility with the open source version and microservices and workflow orchestration at scale. Thousands of companies rely on the tool to build and deploy mission-critical applications and execute numerous other use cases, such as data protection workflows or CI/CD pipeline orchestration.

Orkes emerged from stealth following a successful fundraise in 2022, and it has prioritized building out its engineering and go-to-market teams. It is moving to tap into the rapidly growing pool of developers who are using Conductor and who are natural customer's for Orkes' product.
