Our take
Open banking looks set to reshape the financial services industry, but it can be difficult for existing banks and financial institutions to make the switch from traditional systems. Ozone API is here to empower that transition, supplying compliant open APIs for these institutions to make use of open finance to build partnerships, distribute products and drive new revenue streams.
The company's suite of products are designed to supply compliance from the start, handling the complexities of online banking so that clients can focus their development talent elsewhere. Ozone's technology is available in three configurations - the full open API solution, a fully managed SaaS version known as Ozone API Hub, or Ozone API Sandbox which comes pre-configured with one or more ‘model banks’ - meaning it can cater for a range of business needs.
With the platform's ability to support all global standards, which has gained it trust from regulators across the world, Ozone API has the opportunity to expand across the globe. An £8.5 million funding round secured in 2024 will fuel this expansion, as the company looks to play a part in the wider onset of open banking.
