However, while thousands of seafarers are struggling to find jobs, discrimination and exploitation within the industry has resulted in a continued shortage of workers.

PROPELme’s platform is the first and only professional network for seafarers, providing workers with a safe place to navigate and develop their careers free from prejudice and corruption. The unique combination of career management, social networking, job seeking, and recruitment capabilities, bridges the growing gap between shipping companies and prospective workers on a global scale.

The company’s crowdfunding campaign saw many seafarers invest and become shareholders, thus validating the need for PROPELme’s digital platform. By providing a digital home for seafarers and recruiters alike, PROPELme is leading a positive, and crucial shift in the industry.
