Their mission is to provide: One Click Health. They are empowering access to specialist healthcare quickly, safely and effectively.
Healthcare professionals are relying on inefficient communication methods: fax, pagers, landlines and switchboards.
The founders have experienced the problem of outdated communication as junior doctors. They saw that WhatsApp was being used despite the danger of not keeping patient data secure and confidential.
Pando's solution is much better: it's designed for doctors, it's secure and they're removing communication barriers. However, the NHS is typically resistant to change, and so it will be hard for them to get doctors to adopt the app.
To increase adoption, Pando are working with hospitals at the trust level, but also 'on-the-ground' encouraging junior doctors to adopt the app. Doctors don't need hospital approval to use the app, and so there is an opportunity for virality as junior doctors encourage their colleagues to join.
