With over a billion pounds stolen through fraud each year, and more and more of these cases beginning online, digital safety has never been more important. Unfortunately, it can be difficult for platforms and marketplaces to combat this influx of bad actors, which is where Pasabi comes in. Its trust and safety platform uses AI, behavioural analytics and network science to tackle online fraudulent behaviour.

The idea behind Pasabi is to identify bad actors through behaviours over content. Its technology can be used to continuously monitor spaces such as review sections and listings, highlighting suspicious behaviour that could indicate fake reviews or accounts, as well as scams and counterfeiting. By covering a multitude of fraudulent activities, Pasabi aims to be the only tool a platform needs to identify dubious content for removal, and ensure user trust.

With substantial funding raised, Pasabi is eyeing up global expansion; extending its reach in the fast-growing trust and safety software market, particularly in the US. It is also reported to be hiring specialist staff across several key functions, as well as developing a new version of its product on AWS Marketplace.
