Our take
Percent (formerly Cadence) is a finance company developing an end-to-end technology securitization platform that provides access to asset classes in private capital markets. It looks to innovate the way private credit is originated, structured, and syndicated, with competitive transparency and efficiency.
The private credit market is expected to steadily increase to $1.46 trillion by the end of 2025. In an industry bogged down with legacy practices and a cliquey style, Percent sets itself apart with a focus on previously-unattainable investor opportunities and low-fee investment.
Percent has identified a need in private credit for a strong, transparent, and market-leading infrastructure, and this is where they intend to invest the $12.5 million in Series A funding attained in April 2021. In spite of the company’s relative youth, Percent has successfully structured $400 million across the platform since 2018. This gives the company a strong track record in an attractive niche, making it a strong prospect for future investment.
