Pivigo started by giving experienced academics the practical skills to become in-demand data scientists or cyber security experts (its main course is “S2DS” – Science to Data Science).
Pivigo now acts as like a shop window for rebranded, upcycled PhDs. The founder struggled to get a professional job in data science as an academic, so Pivigo now helps people to bridge the gap between academia and business.
Pivigo is betting that more and more companies will want to make use of data science, but won't necessarily want to make expensive full-time hires. This bet definitely seems like a smart one - companies are increasingly collecting more and more valuable data but don't know how to make the most of it. Pivigo is helping companies get the most leverage out of their data.
