Pledge's missions is a guiding force that inspires every team member to push boundaries and make a meaningful impact. There are few companies out there who's mission is to help decarbonise the biggest polluters on the planet!

The team has a high work ethic, coming from high expectations from leadership and for the team members themselves. With the challenge we're taking on, this is a must - otherwise we'll never succeed. Two of the companies' values are 'care' and 'commitment'.

In Engineering, we can work however we like as long as we get the job done. Prioritisation is product-driven but scheduling and assignment is a team discussion. Engineers can present ideas on implementation and exploration of differing solutions for complex tasks is encouraged. Pair programming is encouraged and performed regularly.

We are working to help measure and ultimately reduce carbon emissions of some of society's most pollutant industries. Seeing new organisations adopt our products encourages us to continue building tools to help encourage business towards more environmentally friendly practices.

Everyone at Pledge has joined with the common goal of trying to help fight climate change. Communication and collaboration is encouraged. We often go for team lunches and socialise after work.

Pledge is a great place for a data analyst to be challenged and develop, as you get the opportunity to work on more than just your typical dashboarding and analysis tasks. Working in a small team gives you the chance to tackle a huge range of problems, from developing new model based solutions for our emissions calculations, to expanding our measurement capabilities by contributing to production code.

We use all of the most recent tech, with M1 mac machines as standard for all employees. We also leverage infrastructure as code (IAC), so deploying and developing in test environments is super fast and allows you to focus on the work at hand.

Pledge is a super exciting place to be working right now, we are growing really quickly and onboarding new people all of the time. One of the other great things about working at an early stage startup, is that you often get direct feedback from clients once you ship new features.

Industry design standards can only take you so far when your working in such a green-fields industry like Carbon infrastructure. At Pledge, this has meant I've had to truly think outside the box and work closely with team mates to create solutions for problems that haven't been solved yet. Working on such a new product is an exciting challenge because we need to be pragmatic and nimble as we learn more about our customers.

At previous companies, I've worked on projects where the strategy lead to what felt like copy-and-paste solutions from the industry or competition. The truly innovative nature of the Pledge has meant the projects I've worked on are delving into new territory while meeting fast-changing customer needs.

It's easy to feel doom and gloom when you think of the Earth's climate but since I started at Pledge I gained more of sense of optimism and hope as I learnt about carbon accounting and offsetting project technologies. The motivating part was seeing how Pledge is using these to help businesses measure and reduce their climate impact.

We live in a world where we are all witnessing first hand how climate change can wreak havoc on the planet. Pledge’s mission is to build best-in-class tools that enable businesses to become climate aware and accelerate their transition to net zero. Ultimately we want to aid the removal of gigatons of carbon from the atmosphere. This is what excites me about Pledge. We are leading the market when it comes to climate tech by making it simple for businesses of every size to understand and mange their climate impact. Now that’s a compelling mission!

It's very rare to find leaders who embrace challenges before anyone else and show courage to express their truth so that they can lead the way. Pledge's Co-Founders promote teamwork, cultivate a sense of greater good, motivate, inspire trust, and provide purpose and direction. They have built a culture of clear accountability and they motivate every single employee to take action by building relationships that create trust, open dialogue, and full transparency.

We're taking on a big challenge at Pledge and therefore it's so refreshing to work with people who care about the company and environment as much as I do. I've always believed that teams don't work well without teamwork! And so it's important that a company builds a collaborative and team spirit culture. At Pledge I experience and see this everyday. We have such an awesome, fun and smart team working at the company. Across all functions, every single person is putting their best efforts into achieving our shared goal. Pledge foster's a team culture whereby listening to other members of the team is encouraged. There's no ego's so taking everyone's ideas on board, not just our own, helps the good of the company as a whole. As a team we love to collaborate often to help solve difficult problems, we brainstorm constantly so we can exchange ideas and come up with creative ways of doing things.
