Our take
There has been a renewed interest from entrepreneurs & investors regarding their environmental footprint, as well as hundreds of sustainability-related conversations being had within a variety of different businesses. Pledge offers a single API so companies can easily integrate climate solutions such as footprint measurement, reduction, and carbon accounting.
The company is a new start-up, backed amongst others by Chris Sacca's Lowercarbon Capital, setting out to help companies with greenhouse gas emissions measurement and reduction as-a-service through its integrated suite of climate solutions. Businesses have higher expectations for accountability and transparency, and Pledge is meeting these needs.
Evidently, this will become a service increasingly in demand as companies are expected to publicly address their environmental impact to all stakeholders. It's a pivotal time for Pledge, which is scaling fast with a team of expert operators.
