Our take
Launched by the founders of tech-enabled ping pong startup PingPod, PodPlay is a tech stack that offers services including automated reservation, events, membership and payments technology to sports clubs and managers. With a suite of solutions and service plans, the company operates across the sports court and event booking pipeline to lessen workloads and streamline operations.
With the number of people playing pickleball shooting up between 2023 and 2024, the company has nailed a niche in its automated booking services for this sport in particular. As small sports booking businesses struggle to keep up with the technology available to them, PodPlay’s package helps its clients to optimise and streamline key operating standards whilst maximising their booking potential.
PodPlay has forged strong partnerships with independent bookers across a wealth of sports, including padel and golf simulators, exemplifying its keen eye for social sporting trends. It has fortified its offerings by adding instant replay and virtual scoreboarding to its product suite, providing both sports venue operators and their customers with an elevated user experience.
