Our take
Point Sigma’s business intelligence platform leverages Artificial Intelligence, or more accurately Artificial Curiosity, to allow enterprises to gain data insights without having to hire specialized data experts.
The use of AI in business analytics and intelligence is looking set to make major inroads in the foreseeable future. Indeed, the fact that Dutch company Pyramid Analytics (which does similar work to Point Sigma) recently raised over $100 million in a single funding round shows just how much of a disruption the software is causing.
Point Sigma may be a few years behind the likes of Pyramid, having only been founded in 2019, but the field is still fairly sparse. The founders have bootstrapped the company thus far, and managed to attract some renowned customers such as data companies HASE & IGEL and Doorda, as well as food tech company Growth Kitchen.
With the market set to grow considerably and Point Sigma already making inroads without the help of venture capital funding, the future is looking bright for the startup.
