Our take
Transporting the health food craze to the animal world, Pooch & Mutt is a dog food company that uses all-natural ingredients in its supplements and meals. The aim is to improve dogs' moods and behaviour by enhancing their physical health.
Pooch & Mutt also allows pet owners to shop on its website by need, providing solutions for digestion, weight loss, joint care, and low-fat options. The company has also started to expand into cat care, which, since the company’s acquisition by petcare portfolio company VAFO in 2023, will no doubt grow from its now extensive network of pet food companies.
Since its acquisition, Pooch & Mutt is planning to launch a second brand, Planet Pet Society, and expand its sales into Europe off the back of European VAFO’s majority stake.
