Our take

International students can find it difficult to get financing, due to complexities with lending to people who are not permanent residents in the country. At the same time, the demand for international study is growing, which is why Prodigy Finance has risen to combat this problem.

The company makes it possible for international students to get loans to study at the best universities abroad. It has the backing of institutional debt investors, and has made a number of partnerships to help advance its mission.

One interesting collaboration was with Nova Credit, which saw Prodigy Finance integrate Nova’s Credit Passport into its application process. This helps generate opportunities for thousands of international students who are looking to fund their education in the US.
