Our take

Pure Electric is a retailer of electric scooters and bikes. The company expanded aggressively off a 2020 deal with Halfords to occupy the retail premises of number of its stores, a key driver of its growth.

As of the moment, private e-scooters can only be used on private land and not on public roads, cycle lanes or pavements. The only e-scooters that can be used on public roads are those that are rented as part of government-backed trials. As part of its growth strategy, the company has just launched its own brand of e-scooters and e-bikes. Looking ahead Pure Electric plans to expand across Europe.
