To help businesses and organizations improve their cyber security by unlocking the attacker's perspective.
40% employee growth in 12 months
Large companies, organizations, and government agencies are all susceptible to attacks from ransomware – a malware variation that prevents access to systems and demands ransom payment from users to regain access. In 2020, there were over 300 million ransomware attacks worldwide, with around $350 million paid out in ransom.
Randori is one company out to combat ransomware, with an attack platform that automates real-world attacks to identify when, where, and how an attacker is most likely to strike, and where security programs fall short.
Its customers include Carbon Black, Greenhill, RapidDeploy, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Randori is a growing company and working on expanding its team. Yet it has plenty of competition in a packed cybersecurity market, with the likes of Ironscales, Vade, Valimail, and ZeroFox also operating within the sector.
It has been announced that IBM - a global technology company that provides hardware, software, cloud-based services and cognitive computing has acquired Randori, subject to standard regulatory checks. IBM plans to embed Randori's attack surface management software with the extended detection and response (XDR) capabilities of IBM Security QRadar. This can help eliminate the need for customers to manually monitor new critical applications and respond quickly when new issues or emerging threats arise on their perimeter.
