Our take

Rated is a digital space where users can broadcast, shop, and earn. Curators on the platform posts videos, often live to encourage authentic interactions. The platform makes it easy for users to earn money. This can either be through tagging outfits and earning up to 15% commission from sales, or from selling fashion on their marketplace.

Rated wants to challenge traditional hierarchical perspectives and build a platform where every person feels included and heard. Moreover, they are part of the growing trend to merge social with retail to create a new wave retail culture for Gen Z. Social commerce is a market still in infancy, yet is anticipated to be the future of commerce. It is expected that the market will grow to $604.5 billion by 2027.

The company has a global ambition, to expand into key territories such as Europe and the US once their product gains traction in the UK.
