Our take

While consumers and businesses are becoming increasingly aware of their environmental impact, the over 350 global eco-labels have created a fragmented, and confusing market. Reewild aims to simplify food and drink eco-labelling, focusing specifically on carbon tracking technology to help businesses score and display the environmental impact of their products to consumers.

The company’s database of full life-cycle assessment (LCA) data enables it to calculate a product’s carbon footprint and provides carbon offsetting solutions to counterbalance negative emissions, including tree planting with partner Forest Carbon and investing in CCS and DAC technologies.

While major labelling organisations such as Foundation Earth and Eco-Score, each backed by a large range of global food and drink giants, dominate the world eco-label space, Reewild’s focus on carbon tracking enables companies and consumers to make active steps toward carbon neutrality. The company’s simple, innovative, and effective platform is well set to see substantial future growth.
