Our take

The pandemic has catapulted to the forefront of working life a new lifestyle opportunity for wealthy knowledge workers: the digital nomad. Remote Year offers a community-centred program for this rapidly growing group.

The startup offers programs of different length from a week to a whole year where, unlike other remote working platforms, participants join a diverse group of adventurers and hopefully make relationships that last a lifetime.

Selina, a global hospitality platform with properties in 19 countries, has acquired the remote work travel agency in an all-stock transaction of brand and customer base. The challenge for Remote Year will now be introducing it’s product and its strong community of thousands of nomads into Selina’s global roster of trendy living and workspaces.
