Our take
Republic is an investment platform looking to democratize access to traditionally gatekept investment opportunities in startups, real estate, crypto, and gaming. It curates special deals for retail and accredited investors alike, and connects founders and entrepreneurs with a broader investor base.
Republic are developing into strategic and exciting areas that will cement and develop their market niche. They have acquired Fig, Compound, and NextSeed, and will also be expanding into hosting digital assets on their platform following the creation of their own flexible token presale instrument. This will let them tap into a growing market for crypto trading.
The SEC raised the regulation crowdfunding cap in 2021 by 400%, making crowdfunding a more attractive option for early and later-stage businesses. Because Republic were swift to capitalize on the regulatory easing, they have secured some of the platform’s quickest and highest value deals. Having since raised significant Series A funding, and with partners such as Binance, AngelList and Product Hunt, Republic’s prospects look strong.

Kendrick Nguyen
(CEO)Kendrick worked as an Associate at Goodwin Procter for 2 years before working as a US Counsel and VP at Permal Group. This was followed with roles as COO of Kanbar Enterprises and General Counsel at AngelList, which he left in April 2016 to co-found Republic.
Peter Green
(Head of Product)Having co-founded Free Money Studio, Mine, Volga Verdi, and MeetingPulse, Peter gained extensive entrepreneurial experience while simultaneously serving as a Board Advisor at Whysaurus. In April 2016, they co-founded Republic, and has served as Head of Product since.
