The company was founded by an experienced restauranteur who identified a crucial gap in the market. Although the hospitality bookings market is home to a number of big-name players, such as OpenTable, ResDiary has successfully differentiated itself from its rivals. It has achieved this in part by offering restaurants innovative solutions, including the ability to alter prices according to the popularity of the booking slot.
The company was bought by the Accor Hotel Group in 2017, which has allowed it to serve a wider range of clients. ResDiary is now used by venues around the world, and provides solutions to customers such as TGI Fridays, Turtle Bay and Qantas. Continuing to develop innovative tools for hospitality venues and groups will allow the company to scale in an increasingly competitive market.
