Our take
Residently has built a solution that makes it easier for tenants, agents and owners to navigate the rental market. The rental process can be cumbersome, with potential tenants speaking to landlords via estate agents in an inefficient way. There's often considerable frustration around this process: even organising a viewing can be difficult in a crowded marketplace, and the logistics of legal processes can often slow a difficult operation down even more.
Residently has built a solution for all parties, where viewings, permissions, requests, documentation and so on are centralised onto one platform. After the company's expansion, tenants can even access cleaning services (and even ironing) through the app. Similarly, the platform helps landlords keep up with their renters' payments and requests.
After raising funds in 2019, the company has expanded - the funds were used to grow its engineering and product teams, grow its rental portfolio and add extra services to its platform. The company's headquarters is based in London and has an office in New York.
